- Conduct committee team meetings
- Approve events (goal, budget, volunteer hours) along with EC
- Acquire reports and photos from committee members. Submit them to EC after events
- Non-technical speaker series/ Workshops
- Technical speaker series/ technical tours
- Leadership series
- Chair (*)
- Professional development conference
- Networking events
- Social events
- Membership retention (event survey, member perks) and membership growth
- Chair (*)
- Plan 1 social/ networking event
- Idea solicitation to improve membership retention and growth
- Website management
- Social media management
- HCES Wiliki announcement
- Other forms of event publicity (Eventbrite, etc…)
- K-12 STEM events
- SWENext advisor
- Partnership with other engineering societies or organizations
- Connection with local universities (UHM, HPU) and colleges
- Chair (*)
- HCES E-week display presentation – February
- Nomination solicitation of SWE-HI members for annual section awards
- Nomination of SWE-HI members for society awards
- Time commitment: Spring
- Liaison with SWE HQ (SWE Magazine) and SWE sections for scholarship publicity
- Liaison with local press for scholarship publicity
- Fundraising
- Section annual election
- Time commitment: Spring (May – June)
- Officer/ committee chair advisor
- Annual banquet planning and execution
- Time commitment: Spring (April – June)
